Party Debate on K-12 Education

On April 20, 2009 the Coalition for Public Education hosted a debate of the four major parties in the provincial election on K-12 education issues.

The moderator for the event was CBC TV journalist Erica Johnson.

Participants were:

• BC NDP - Rob Fleming, Advanced Education Critic and candidate for Victoria-Swan Lake
• Green Party - Jane Sterk, Party Leader and candidate for Esquimalt-Royal Roads
• BC Conservatives - Mike Brousseau, candidate for Skeena
  
• BC Liberals - The BC Liberals declined to send anyone to the debate.
