CUFA BC Appoints Annabree Fairweather as new Executive Director

After a national search process, the Confederation of University Faculty Associations of British Columbia is pleased to welcome Ms. Fairweather as its new Executive Director. Ms. Fairweather joins CUFA BC after serving as Executive Director of the University of Lethbridge Faculty Association. She holds a Master of Science degree in psychology from the University of Lethbridge, and a Labour-Management Relations Certificate from the Edwards School of Business at the University of Saskatchewan. A published researcher, she also has teaching experience at both college and university levels.

Ms. Fairweather’s appointment with CUFA BC will commence 25 February 2019. She will work closely with the Confederation’s President, Executive, and Council to support member associations, promote public higher education in British Columbia, plan for the organization’s future, and maintain and strengthen relationships with other faculty organizations in BC and across Canada.

The Confederation of University Faculty Associations of British Columbia represents over 5,500 professors, lecturers, instructors, librarians, and other academic staff at the five research-intensive universities in British Columbia: University of British Columbia, Simon Fraser University, University of Northern British Columbia, Royal Roads University, and University of Victoria.
